ENNISKILLEN MAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD
A man was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates Court today for obtaining benefits to which he was not entitled.
Erin Peter Owens (26) of Derrin Park, Enniskillen was fined £150 after being found guilty of claiming Job Seeker's Allowance to the value of £61.78 while working. The offence occurred during February 2004.
Mr Owens has to repay the money he received to the Social Security Agency.
This case is the latest success in the Social Security Agency's campaign against benefit fraud. There have been 45 successful convictions since the start of the year.
