MAN FINED £600 FOR FAILING TO PROVIDE CHILD SUPPORT INFORMATION

A man was convicted at Antrim Magistrates' Court yesterday for failing to supply information to the Child Support Agency.

Brendan Craig (27), of Drummaul Park, Randalstown, was fined £600 and ordered to pay costs of £54 after being found guilty of failing to supply information which had been asked for by the Child Support Agency.

Failure to comply with a request for information from the Child Support Agency is a criminal offence and can lead to a maximum fine of up to £1000.

As part of its planned operational improvements, the Child Support Agency is stepping up its efforts to make non-resident parents meet their financial responsibilities for their children.
