NEWTOWNABBEY WOMAN CONVICTED FOR £112 BENEFIT FRAUD

A woman was convicted at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today for obtaining Income Support fraudulently.

Margaret Hunter (33), of Doonbeg Drive, Newtownabbey, was convicted for falsely obtaining £112. She was given 12 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £44 costs. She is also required to repay the money she received to the Social Security Agency.

This is the 30th successful prosecution by the Social Security Agency so far this year.
