FINTONA MAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD

A man was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates' Court yesterday for obtaining Job Seekers Allowance whilst working.

Gary McCausland (22), of King Street, was convicted for falsely obtaining £358 between May and July 2004. He was fined £150 for each of two offences. He is also required to repay the money he fraudulently received to the Social Security Agency.

This is the 236th successful prosecution by the Social Security Agency so far this year.
