LURGAN MAN GETS SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR BENEFIT FRAUD

A man was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' Court today for obtaining benefits to which he was not entitled.

Adrian Lutton (51) of Avenue Road, Lurgan was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for two years for falsely claiming Disability Living Allowance to the value of £3,866. He will also have to repay the money he received to the Social Security Agency.

This is the 235th conviction secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
