HANSON VISITS BALLYMONEY TOWN CENTRE

Minister for Social Development David Hanson MP visited Ballymoney today to see at first hand some of the work being done to promote the town.

Mr Hanson said: "Last year my Department awarded Ballymoney £63,000 under the town centre marketing programme for new signs, events, promotional materials and the 'Experience Ballymoney' website.

"I am pleased to be able to visit the town today to see at first hand how that funding is helping to develop and promote the town.

"Earlier this year, we announced that Ballymoney would be one of five towns to benefit from an expansion of the Urban Development Grant Scheme. This presents another great opportunity to revitalise the town by further improving its appearance, encouraging investment and creating more jobs. I look forward to issuing grant offers early next year."
