BELFAST WOMAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD
A woman was convicted at Laganside Magistrates' Court today for obtaining benefits to which she was not entitled.
Tracey Kelly (36) of Renfrew Walk, Belfast was given a 12 month conditional discharge on two separate offences of wrongfully cashing Income Support cheques. The total amount fraudulently claimed was £438 which Ms Kelly will have to repay to the Social Security Agency.
This is the 228th conviction secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
