LONDONDERRY WOMAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD

A woman was convicted at Londonderry Magistrates' Court today for obtaining benefits to which she was not entitled.

Michelle Archbold (30) of Lecky Road, Londonderry was given a two year conditional discharge for wrongfully cashing Income Support cheques to the value of £356. Miss Archbold will also have to repay the money she received to the Social Security Agency.

This is the 227th conviction secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
