BELFAST MAN GETS SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR BENEFIT FRAUD
A man was convicted at Belfast Magistrates' Court today for obtaining benefits to which he was not entitled.
James Black (24) of Sorella Street, Belfast, was given a three month prison sentence suspended for two years for claiming Income Support to the value of £534 while working. Mr Black will also have to repay the money he received to the Social Security Agency.
This is the 226th conviction secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
