CRAIGAVON MAN CONVICTED OF WORKING WHILE CLAIMING BENEFIT
A man was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' Court today for obtaining benefits to which he was not entitled.
Bernard Leathem (33) of Parkway, Craigavon, was found guilty of claiming Income Support and Housing Benefit to the value of £491 while working. He was fined £300 and will also have to repay the money he received to the Social Security Agency.
This is the 214th conviction secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
