LURGAN WOMAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD
A woman was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates' Court today for obtaining benefits to which she was not entitled.
Susan McPeake (22) of The Grange, Lurgan was fined £150 for wrongfully cashing Income Support cheques to the value of £185. The offences occurred during February and March 2004. Ms McPeake will also have to repay the money she received to the Social Security Agency.
This is the 213th conviction secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
