LISBURN WOMAN CONVICTED OF £6,000 BENEFIT FRAUD
A woman was convicted at Lisburn Magistrates Court today for obtaining benefits to which she was not entitled.
Francesca Duffy (41) of Craig Crescent, Lisburn was fined £100 for claiming Income Support to the value of £6,587 while failing to disclose her savings. The offences occurred between May 2001 and May 2005.
Miss Duffy has repaid the money she received to the Social Security Agency. This conviction is the 155th secured by the Social Security Agency this year in its campaign against benefit fraud.
