BANGOR WOMAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD
A woman who claimed benefits while she was working was convicted at Bangor Magistrates' Court today.
Elizabeth McClenaghan (59), of Clandeboye Place, Bangor, was given a probation order for two years. She had falsely claimed £1,873 in Income Support and Housing Benefit between May 2004 and January 2005 and is required by the Social Security Agency to repay this money.
This is the 150th successful prosecution taken by the Social Security Agency so far this year
