BELFAST MAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD
A man was convicted at Belfast Magistrates Court today for obtaining benefits to which he was not entitled.
Francis Morrison (22) of Colinvale, Belfast was fined £400 for claiming Income Support to the value of £439 while working. The offences occurred between October 2003 and June 2004.
Mr Morrison also has to repay the money he received to the Social Security Agency.
This case is the latest success in the Social Security Agency's campaign against benefit fraud. There have been 93 successful convictions since the start of the year.
