LONDONDERRY WOMAN CLAIMED BENEFITS WHILST WORKING
Mary Taylor (44), Cornshell Fields, Londonderry, was found guilty of benefit fraud at Londonderry Magistrates Court yesterday.
She was given a three year conditional discharge for claiming £26,835 in Income Support benefit between November 1997 and April 2003 despite being in employment. She has to repay the monies received to the Social Security Agency.
This case brings the number of convictions secured by the Social Security Agency this year to 71.
