LONDONDERRY MEN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD

Three men were convicted of benefit fraud in separate cases at Londonderry Magistrates' Court yesterday (September 15).

James Healy (30), of Jefferson Court, was fined £300 and ordered to pay £43 costs for cashing benefit orders valued at £86 to which he was not entitled.

At the same court, Sean Gurney (23), of Hawthorn Terrace, was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £31 for encashing a benefit order for £75 to which he was not entitled.

Christopher Cavanagh (43), of Rinmore Drive, was given a conditional discharged and ordered to pay £28 costs for cashing a benefit order for £86 to which he was not entititled.
