APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF LAGANSIDE CORPORATION
Councillor Ian Crozier, who represents the Castle Area of North Belfast, has been appointed to the Board of Laganside Corporation.
The appointment takes effect from 13 June 2005 to 31 March 2007 or until Belfast City Council nominates an alternative member, or until the Corporation is dissolved, whichever is the sooner.
NOTES TO EDITORS:
- The Laganside Corporation is an executive Non-Departmental Public Body of the Department for Social Development and was established under the Laganside Development (NI) Order 1989, to secure the regeneration of Belfast's riverside and waterfront areas.
- The Laganside Order provides for a Board comprising a Chairperson and up to nine members. One member respectively is appointed from Belfast City Council and Belfast Harbour Commissioners after consultation with these bodies.
- Cllr. Crozier is the immediate past Chairman of Belfast City Council's Development Committee. He also sits on the newly appointed Development Committee and is a member of a number of other sub-committees.
- Cllr. Crozier does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.
- Cllr. Crozier is a member of the Democratic Unionist Party.
- Board members receive a salary of £7,815 per annum.
