KEADY MAN CONVICTED OF BENEFIT FRAUD
Brian Gorman (34), of Darkley Road, Keady, was fined £500 and given a four month suspended jail sentence at Armagh Magistrates' Court yesterday (30 August).
Mr Gorman had falsely claimed Income Support benefit totalling £1,991 without declaring that his wife was in receipt of Tax Credits. He is required to repay the overpayment amount.
This is the latest in a series of prosecutions being taken by the Social Security Agency as part of its ongoing campaign to reduced benefit fraud.
