BELFAST MAN CONVICTED OF £9,762 BENEFIT FRAUD
A Belfast man who failed to declare an occupational pension has been convicted of benefit fraud.
Hugh McAreavey (58), of Kilmore Close, was sentenced to 150 hours community service at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 23, for falsely claiming Income Support benefit totalling £9,762. He is also required to repay the money that was overpaid.
