KINAWLEY BENEFIT CHEAT CAUGHT
A Kinawley woman, Dolores Doonan, was convicted in Enniskillen Magistrates Court recently for wrongly claiming benefits from the Social Security Agency.
Miss Doonan had been working and had failed to declare her earnings whilst in receipt of benefit. The overpayments amounted to more than £3,500 which is now being repaid to the Agency.
Additionally, Magistrate Meehan imposed fines of £225 and ordered the defendant to pay £86 court costs.
This is the latest of a series of prosecutions brought by the Agency in its drive to clamp down on benefit fraud.
