COLERAINE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE TO MAINTAIN SERVICES DESPITE INDUSTRIAL ACTION
The Social Security Agency today announced that special arrangements have been made to maintain services during the strike action planned by Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance members, from Monday 19 April, in Coleraine Social Security Office.
A spokesperson for the Agency said: "We are determined to maintain a service to our customers, in spite of the strike action taken by NIPSA members. Contingency arrangements have been made to ensure people will continue to receive the money they are entitled to, whether it comes by giro, order book or paid into their bank or building society account.
"To minimize inconvenience, JobSeeker’s Allowance customers do not need to sign on and appointments are cancelled at the Coleraine office from Monday 19 April. Customers will be informed when signing on will resume.
"It is our intention to keep the office open during the strike and to have staff in the office to maintain services.
"However, some people may experience inconvenience and we ask our customers to be patient during this period."
