INDUSTRIAL ACTION - EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY AGENCY CUSTOMERS
The Social Security Agency today set up an emergency telephone number for customers affected by one-day strike called by NIPSA.
A spokesman said: "It is regrettable that this industrial action is taking place, as many of our customers are among the most vulnerable members of society. Our aim is to ensure all our offices are kept open during the one-day strike by civil servants. If customers face a personal emergency and their nearest office is not open, they should contact the special helpline Tel: 028 90 569552." The number will operate from 9.00am – 5.00pm on Thursday 11th December.
