DSD PUBLISHES HOUSING EFFECTIVENESS REVIEW

The Department for Social Development today published a Review of the Effectiveness of the Northern Ireland Housing Programme.

The Department of Finance and Personnel, the Economic Policy Unit (OFMDFM) and the Department jointly undertook the production of the report. The reports have already had some influence on prioritisation and effectiveness issues in relation to the Programme for Government and the Budget.

Prior to suspension of devolved Government in Northern Ireland, the NI Executive commissioned the Needs and Effectiveness Evaluations (NEE’s) covering the following programme areas: Health, Personal and Social services, Education, Financial Assistance to Industry, Vocational Training and Employment, Housing and Culture, Arts and Leisure.
