ROADS SERVICE INVEST OVER £600K IN DUNGANNON/SOUTH TYRONE
Over £600k will be invested in minor capital schemes in the Dungannon and South Tyrone area over this year.
Speaking in advance of the Department for Regional Development Roads Service's autumn meeting with Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough Council, the Divisional Roads Manager Pat Doherty said: "The scheme for providing a right turning lane on the Moy Road in Dungannon at the junction with Far Circular Road is now complete and the carriageway resurfacing scheme on the A4 at Cabragh which includes a nearside passing bay at Sheers Place is also now complete.
"Other schemes that will be taken forward in the current financial year include the provision of a mini roundabout at junction of Milltown Road and Mark Street in Dungannon and carriageway widening and provision of a footway at Brackaville Road in Coalisland."
The Roads Service report also contained the draft capital programme for 2007-2009. New schemes include a right turning lane and footway at Killeeshill Crossroads on the A4 and a road realignment scheme on the Ballynakilly Road, Coalisland in the vicinity of Creenagh Bridge.
