ROADS SERVICE TO UNDERTAKE ENNISKILLEN TRAFFIC SURVEYS

During April, DRD Roads Service will carry out a series of traffic counts, roadside driver interviews and parking surveys in Enniskillen. These surveys will be used to inform a transport study for Enniskillen that will consider medium-term transportation options for the town.

Roads Service has planned the surveys carefully to minimise inconvenience to residents, businesses and visitors. Roadside driver interviews will take place with drivers on all approaches to Enniskillen. Drivers will be asked where they are coming from, where they are going to, where they will park and the reason for their journey. Each interview will take less than a minute and while there may be some disruption, care will be taken to limit inconvenience to motorists.

Roads Service would appreciate the co-operation of the travelling public throughout the duration of this exercise.

NOTES TO EDITORS:
