RESURFACING OF A50, CASTLEWELLAN ROAD, BANBRIDGE

The Roads Service will start a £120,000 resurfacing scheme on a section of the Castlewellan Road, Banbridge this week. Resurfacing will take place from the beginning of the 40 mph speed limit to just before the entrance to the Tesco supermarket. Work is scheduled to take three weeks.

A spokesperson said: "This work will improve the safety of the road and will restore skidding resistance. Although the road will not be completely closed to traffic, lane closures will be necessary and some delays are likely, especially at peak times. Roads Service apologises to motorists and local residents for any inconvenience."
