£185K WATERMAINS SCHEMES FOR HOLYWOOD AND COMBER
DRD Water Service will start work today on watermains schemes in Comber and Holywood, costing almost £185,000. Work is scheduled to last for eleven weeks.
A DRD Water Service spokesperson said:
"This essential work is being undertaken as part of continuing improvement to the water supply in the area. Water Service and the contractor have carefully programmed the works to minimise disruption and access to properties will be maintained.
"The scheme in Holywood will replace 800 metres of watermains along the Shore Road, Esplanade, Kinnegar Road, Kinnegar Drive and Kinnegar Avenue. In Comber, 400 metres of watermains will be replaced along the Killinchy Street, Bridge Street, High Street and The Square. Sixty seven metres of new sewers will also be installed."
