DRD MINISTER ANNOUNCES ROAD SCHEME FOR OMAGH
Regional Development Minister, Peter Robinson MP MLA, today announced that £100,000 worth of road improvement works in the Omagh District Council area will begin in January.
The schemes are part of DRD Roads Service’s Network Development Programme and involve work in the Drumquin area.
Mr Robinson said: "A scheme on the B50 Omagh Road at its junction with the B84 Dooish Road will involve the realignment and widening of the carriageway through a difficult bend. In addition, there will be improvements to visibility splays and drainage facilities.
"Work will also commence on the provision of a footway on the Dooish Road to be located from the Crooked Bridge to St. Patrick’s Chapel.
"The work will last approximately ten weeks and will commence in early January. Inevitably there will be some disruption to traffic flows and the co-operation of the general public would be appreciated during this period.
"On behalf of DRD Roads Service, I would like to thank the landowners associated with the above schemes for their valued co-operation."
