COMPANIES REGISTRY GOES ONLINE
Companies Registry has launched a new, quick and easy online service to provide company information at the touch of a button.
The online service provides access to company information and the facility to request and pay for company documents, all from your home or office. Customers can access the new online service through the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment's website www.companiesregistry.detini.gov.uk
Speaking today at a seminar for newly appointed company directors and secretaries, Rosaleen McMullan of Companies Registry, said: "The new online service offers a more convenient way for customers to access information quickly. This e-business service represents the culmination of over three years of change and modernisation in the Registry."
Previously this information was only available by going in person to Companies Registry in Belfast. Basic company information is available free and is straightforward to access. Other information available online includes mortgage index and disqualified directors' register.
Specific company documents are available for a fee of £1 each and a new comprehensive company profile is available, also for a fee of £1. Payment can be made by credit/debit card or by setting up an online account.
As well as providing an opportunity to showcase the online service, the director's seminar, organised by Companies Registry, focused on helping recently appointed directors and secretaries understand their role, responsibilities and the information they must provide to Companies Registry. Participants also got to see at first hand what happens to the information they provide to the Registry.
