100 YEARS OF VEHICLE REGISTRATION
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Motor Car Act, which was introduced to help identify vehicles and their owners.
To celebrate this landmark, Brendan Magee, Chief Executive of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Northern Ireland (DVLNI), is to present a Centenary Cup at the prestigious Kilbroney 2000 Old Vehicle Rally being staged at Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor on Saturday 6 September.
Mr Magee said: "The DVLNI Centenary Cup will be awarded to the owner of the oldest vehicle listed in the Rally’s programme at this event which epitomises such an historic milestone."
