SAM FOSTER VISITS NORTH DOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Minister for the Environment, Sam Foster MLA, met a delegation of North Down Borough Councillors in Bangor today. The purpose of the visit was to hear at first hand planning issues in the Borough.

Mr Foster said, "I am grateful for the opportunity to listen to the members of North Down Borough Council and their opinions on local planning issues. I note with interest their views on the forthcoming Belfast Metropolitan Area Plan, Planning Control Enforcement, Tree Preservation Orders, apartment type development, telecommunications masts and the conservation of local buildings and Bangor Bay.

"I can assure the councillors that the DOE always takes consideration of Council opinions on Planning very seriously and we will be certainly doing that today."
