DESTINATIONS OF LEAVERS FROM HIGHER EDUCATION: NORTHERN IRELAND 2002/03

This Statistical Bulletin has been produced by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) using data collected by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). It provides details of the destinations of leavers from higher education who obtained qualifications in Northern Ireland (NI) higher education institutions and NI domiciled students obtaining qualifications in UK higher education institutions in the academic year 2002/03.

The data presented draws on the new Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) record introduced in 2002/03, which replaced the previous First Destination Supplement (FDS). The new DLHE survey collects richer information from leavers than the FDS, particularly regarding work and study with leavers separately reporting such activities.
