DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PUBLISHES EDUCATION SERVICE EFFECTIVENESS REVIEW
The Department of Education published a report on the effectiveness of the education service in Northern Ireland, today.
The report was produced by the Department of Education with input from the Economic Policy Unit of the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) and the Department of Finance and Personnel. The report has already had some influence on prioritisation and effectiveness issues, in relation to the Programme for Government and the Budget.

www.deni.gov.ukPrior to suspension of devolved Government in Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Executive commissioned the Needs and Effectiveness Evaluations (NEE’s) covering the following programme areas: Health, Personal and Social Services, Education, Financial Assistance to Industry, Vocational Training and Employment, Housing and Culture, Arts and Leisure.
